The Cincinnati Bengals concluded the regular season on Sunday with a victory over the Cleveland Browns, capping off the year on a positive note and achieving a winning record. Despite facing significant challenges, including the loss of key players to injuries for prolonged periods, the Bengals managed to finish the season at 9-8.

In November, Cincinnati suffered a setback when Joe Burrow sustained a season-ending wrist injury. However, Jake Browning stepped in and performed admirably for the remainder of the year. Browning’s season stats include 1,936 passing yards, 12 passing touchdowns, seven interceptions, and three rushing touchdowns.

Following the triumph against the Browns, Browning made a statement about his achievements as the Bengals’ starter, asserting, “I’m one of the top 32 quarterbacks in the world and happen to be on a roster with a quarterback who’s proven to be top five.” This self-assessment reflects Browning’s confidence in his abilities, acknowledging the caliber of the starting quarterback, Joe Burrow, on the same team.

Looking ahead, the Bengals face an offseason marked by uncertainty in various positions. Browning, currently slated to be an exclusive rights free agent, is expected to return to the Bengals, adding an interesting dynamic to the team’s roster for the upcoming season.
