It’s been reported that Joe Flacco has made up his mind regarding whether he’ll return to the Browns or not.

The Cleveland Browns were in desperate need of assistance, and they found it in Joe Flacco. He may not have been at his peak when it counted the most, but he fulfilled a crucial role for the team at that time. Despite his ups and downs, Flacco secured the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year award last season, surpassing notable players such as Damar Hamlin and Baker Mayfield, and deservedly so. In his five regular-season starts for the Browns, Flacco accumulated 1,616 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.

Flacco remained unsigned well into last season. He stepped off the sidelines to fill in for XFL veteran P.J. Walker and fifth-round rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson following Deshaun Watson’s season-ending injury. However, with Watson expected to return to full strength for the upcoming season, it’s not surprising that Flacco is seeking opportunities elsewhere.

The Browns are reportedly enthusiastic about Thompson-Robinson, which explains their decision to release Joshua Dobbs after last year’s preseason, potentially limiting Flacco’s playing chances. Nonetheless, his time in Berea will be remembered fondly, as he transitioned from a divisional rival to a fan favorite in just over a month.
