In Cleveland, Ohio, Ken Dorsey, the new Browns offensive coordinator, wasted no time in securing another opportunity in his role. Dismissed from the Bills in mid-November, Dorsey’s hiring by the Browns was officially announced on Monday, accompanied by a press conference where he was introduced.

Reflecting on his past experience, Dorsey stated, “It gave me time to kind of go back and look at, OK, here’s what we were doing schematically and how we’re utilizing our personnel and really evaluate what we were doing.” He expressed confidence in the team’s previous strategies while acknowledging areas for potential improvement moving forward.

Dorsey’s return to the position signals a fresh start, and his synergy with head coach Kevin Stefanski was evident in his responses during Monday’s press conference.

This is primarily about Deshaun Watson, and it’s quite obvious.

While there are other factors to consider, the quarterback position reigns supreme in this league. Despite the Browns’ efforts over two seasons, their significant investment in bringing Watson to the team hasn’t yielded much success.

Watson has only appeared in 12 games during this period, and as time passes since 2020, it becomes increasingly challenging to reach that previous level of performance, especially following a significant injury to his throwing shoulder.
