Mike Vrabel, the head coach of the Tennessee Titans, is facing an uncertain future following a disappointing season, and reports suggest he might be eyeing a potential coaching position with the New England Patriots.

According to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, Vrabel would be interested in taking on the coaching role for the Patriots if Bill Belichick, his former team’s current head coach, were to part ways.

The Titans concluded the season with a 6-11 record, missing the postseason for the second consecutive year. Despite signing an extension with Tennessee before the previous season, Vrabel is reportedly not satisfied with the situation in Tennessee, leading to speculation about his future.

Some insiders suggest that Vrabel might be waiting to see what transpires with Belichick and the Patriots before making a final decision.

Vrabel has strong ties to the Patriots, having played as a linebacker for the team from 2001 to 2008 and being a core member of three Super Bowl-winning teams during the Belichick era.

Earlier reports indicated that Vrabel could be a preferred candidate for Patriots owner Robert Kraft if the team moves on from Belichick.

While there is no certainty regarding Belichick’s departure from New England, the 71-year-old coach mentioned that he remains under contract and anticipates discussions with Kraft.

Belichick also hinted at being open to significant changes if he continues with the Patriots.
