In Orlando, more than a week after his appointment, Raheem Morris continues to receive widespread congratulations from his peers for becoming the new head coach of the Atlanta Falcons. Players and coaches who have had the privilege of working with Morris have overwhelmingly praised him, highlighting his standing as one of the most respected leaders in the league.

Among the most vocal supporters of Morris is Jalen Ramsey, cornerback for the Miami Dolphins, who had the opportunity to learn under Morris during their time together with the Los Angeles Rams.

Ramsey had previously expressed his endorsement for Morris on social media, describing him as “one of, if not the best coach in the NFL.” At the recent Pro Bowl Games over the weekend, Ramsey further emphasized his support for Morris.

“He is undoubtedly the best,” remarked Ramsey on Friday. “He possesses a strong defensive acumen, and his influence extends to the entire offense. He has taught me a lot, and he is also a coach who connects with players. He understands the significance of relationships, and he’s probably the best coach I’ve ever been around.”

At 47, Morris is embarking on his third stint as an NFL head coach, having previously led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2009 to 2011 and served as the Falcons’ interim head coach in 2020. While his head coaching record may not be stellar, Morris has undergone significant growth as a coach in recent years, a sentiment shared by those who have worked with him during this period.

Ramsey not only believes that Morris’ hiring will greatly benefit the coach himself but also the top players on the Falcons. When asked if he thought Pro Bowl safety Jessie Bates III would thrive under Morris, Ramsey responded with certainty, saying, “100 percent, absolutely.”
