Texans Set to Unveil New Commemorative H-Town Blue Uniforms.

HOUSTON — Since its inception in 2002, the Houston Texans have been closely associated with their steel blue uniforms. Nevertheless, the upcoming 2024 offseason will mark a significant change as the Texans are set to unveil new uniforms.

Texans TV Host Drew Dougherty has reported that the franchise intends to showcase the new uniforms during the week of the 2024 NFL Draft in April. The fresh jerseys will pay tribute to H-Town Blue, featured in all four uniforms, as a nod to the legacy of the Houston Oilers.

The 2024 offseason will bring the long-anticipated reveal of the Houston Texans’ new uniforms, which will commemorate H-Town Blue.

The association of H-Town Blue with Houston dates back to 1960 when the Oilers were established as an NFL franchise, remaining the city’s original team for over three decades. In 1997, the Oilers relocated to Tennessee, retaining the name and team branding despite rebranding as the Titans.

The Titans, in homage to their Oilers legacy, sported their Oilers uniforms twice in the current season, including a matchup against the Texans on Dec. 17. Fortunately for Houston, the Texans secured an overtime victory in Week 15 at Nissan Stadium.

Devin Singletary remarked, “Those are some attractive colors. For us, it was simply about coming out and securing a win. We’ll be facing those guys again in two weeks. That’s what mattered.”
